Disaggregated Workforce Assessment Tool

Disaggregated Workforce Assessment Tool

Dear Peel Community,

Your contribution to further equity and inclusion is invited!

RDR is pleased to have developed a tool to support the collection of organizational workforce data in Peel. The survey is open to be completed by staff at the participating organizations or individual employees directly. The information provided by the contributor will help identify regional gaps in the collection of sociodemographic data, assess the performance in ensuring equitable and inclusive workplaces as well as create opportunities to bring about responsive and inclusive change.

Through this initiative, RDR hopes that organizations and professionals will take an active part in efforts to support the creation of more equitable workplaces with sound evidence and relevant data.

Background:

RDR recognizes that organizations across Peel are at different stages in their journey to ensure equity, inclusion, and respect in their workplaces. To address this gap six organizations, namely Canadian Mental Health Association Peel, Convene Toronto, Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board, Indus Community Services, Region of Peel and The Regional Diversity Roundtable with seed funding support from Region of Peel under the Community Safety and Wellbeing Plan’s Systemic Discrimination stream collaborated to create the toolkit. This initiative took into account organizations that have engaged in workforce census exercises and were willing to share their tools and insights; namely the City of Mississauga, Peel Children’s Aid Society, Peel District School Board, Region of Peel, and Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board with their student census.

What next:

Based on received responses, gathered data will be aggregated and analyzed to share back by the winter of 2022.
