Keynote: Mobilizing to Build Community Resilience

What does it mean for a community to be resilient? How does a community’s resilience contribute to – and benefit from – work to advance equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation? This presentation will explore these questions and highlight why achieving our vision of equity requires the coordinated contributions of residents, community groups and an array of sectors. Participants will also be given an opportunity to explore and identify immediate actions that they can take to begin taking immediate action.

Participants will learn from his experiences of 30 years of work in the Region of Peel both at an institution and as the CEO of a not-for-profit agency.
