{"id":36,"date":"2017-05-25T02:02:10","date_gmt":"2017-05-25T02:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rdrpeel.org\/portal\/?page_id=36"},"modified":"2017-09-06T16:37:20","modified_gmt":"2017-09-06T16:37:20","slug":"help","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.rdrpeel.org\/portal\/help\/","title":{"rendered":"Help"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>What is the RDR Portal?<\/strong><\/span><br \/> The RDR Portal is an online hub for change makers in Peel Region and beyond to <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">communicate, collaborate, and connect around diversity, equity and inclusion at the individual, community and organizational levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>How do I register?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click \u201cLOGIN\/REGISTER\u201d at the top right of the page.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cSign Up\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your account details, and click \u201cComplete Sign Up\u201d when you are done.<\/li>\n<li>You will receive a confirmation email that your account has been created.<\/li>\n<li>The portal administrator will approve your account at which point you will be able to access the full functionality of the portal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Who is eligible to register?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>RDR MEMBERS\u00a0<\/b>&#8211; This group is for designated representatives of RDR member organizations. Up to 2 representatives from each organization can register. In the portal, users can stay up-to-date with meeting and membership logistics; dialogue about diversity, equity and inclusion in a safe space with peers; share information across organizations and sectors; and access member-only resources.<\/li>\n<li><b>ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERS\u00a0<\/b>&#8211;\u00a0This group is for organizational leaders participating in RDR\u2019s Building DEI in Leadership program. The goal of this program is to build the capacity of organizational leaders in the non-profit sector to identify and address issues of DEI in their organizations. This program is being offered in five regions across Southern Ontario: Durham, Halton, Hamilton, Peel and Waterloo.<\/li>\n<li><strong><b>COMMUNITY AMBASSADORS\u00a0<\/b>\u2013 <\/strong>This group is for community ambassadors participating in the Diversity &amp; Inclusion (D&amp;I) Charter of Peel\u2019s Community Leadership Program. This is an eight-month training that strengthens individual\/community understandings of diversity, equity and inclusion and builds the capacity of community leaders to engage in grassroots change-making initiatives. This program is currently being offered in Peel Region only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>How do I log in?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click \u201cLOGIN\/REGISTER\u201d at the top right of the page.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enter your login credentials, and click \u201cLog In\u201d when you are done.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>How do I join groups?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Log into the RDR Portal using your account details <em>(Note: Only those who have been approved by the portal administrator will be able to request access to a group)<\/em><\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click \u201cGroups\u201d in the top menu. In the drop-down menu click &#8216;Overview&#8217; to read the group descriptions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click \u201cRequest Membership\u201d to the group you would like access to. This is located below each group description.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The portal administrator will approve your request at which point you will be able to access group content.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>Note: If you are joining the Organizational Leaders Group, you must <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">also<\/span> request access to one of the five regional sub-groups (i.e., Durham, Halton, Hamilton, Peel, Waterloo).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>My password isn&#8217;t working. What do I do?<\/strong><\/span><br \/> Try resetting your password by clicking on the &#8220;LOGIN\/REGISTER&#8221; button at the upper right-hand side of the page, and then click on the &#8220;LOST YOUR PASSWORD?&#8221; button. If you require further assistance please contact your portal administrator (see below).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>Can I access the portal if I am not a member of the above groups?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to access the full functionality of the portal, you must be a member of one of the three main groups: RDR Members, Organizational Leaders, Community Ambassadors<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>I need more information.
